Biothervax

BioTherVax is a Chilean biotechnology company and a spin-off from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (UC). The company specializes in the development of innovative vaccines and biopharmaceuticals, with a primary focus on respiratory viruses such as Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV). Its lead candidate, rBCG-N-RSV, is a recombinant BCG vaccine that expresses the RSV nucleoprotein, designed to provide protection for both infants and the elderly. BioTherVax is also advancing a pipeline that includes humanized monoclonal antibodies for RSV prophylaxis and vaccines for animal health, including bovine RSV and Salmon Rickettsial Syndrome (SRS). The company is establishing a GMP-certified manufacturing facility in Santiago to support its clinical development programs.
