Birch Grove is a New York-based alternative credit and investment management firm focused on corporate credit opportunities, including hedge fund, private credit, par credit, and collateralized loan obligation strategies. The firm has been described as a diversified alternative credit manager with capabilities across structured, performing, distressed, and private credit. Originally operated as AS Birch Grove LP and backed by American Securities, the business was acquired by Third Point in March 2025 and is now operating as TP Birch Grove, a wholly owned division or subsidiary of Third Point. Despite leadership ties to healthcare-focused investing backgrounds, Birch Grove itself is not a life sciences, biotech, pharma, or healthcare operating company.
