Bistner Co., Ltd. was a Japanese healthcare-focused investment and business development firm established in 2000 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kyorin Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. The company was primarily responsible for managing the Bistner First Investment LPS, a venture fund dedicated to identifying and fostering new business opportunities in the healthcare, wellness, and medical sectors. Its most significant strategic achievement was the development and eventual full acquisition of the skincare company Dr. Program Co., Ltd., which specialized in pharmaceutical-grade cosmetics. Bistner was dissolved in 2009 following the successful completion of its investment mandates and a broader reorganization of the Kyorin Group.
