Company intelligence / Profile preview
Blueprint Initiative Asia was a Singapore-based bioinformatics and data curation company established in 2002. It served as the Asian arm of the global Blueprint Initiative, a project dedicated to the development and curation of the Biomolecular Interaction Network Database (BIND). The company specialized in high-throughput curation of molecular interaction data, providing "Directed-Curation Services" to the life sciences community and contributing to the International Molecular Exchange (IMEx) consortium. Although it was a foundational player in the systems biology and proteomics data landscape, the company ceased operations following the conclusion of its primary funding cycles. Its core database assets, including BIND, were subsequently acquired by Thomson Reuters and integrated into other commercial and public resources.
