Boehringer Mannheim was a prominent German healthcare company specializing in pharmaceuticals and laboratory diagnostics. Founded in 1859, it grew into a global leader in biochemicals and medical testing, most notably developing the Accu-Chek line of blood glucose monitoring systems.
