Boots Healthcare International (BHI) was the consumer healthcare division of The Boots Company, specializing in the development and marketing of over-the-counter (OTC) medicines. The company managed a portfolio of globally recognized brands, including the analgesic Nurofen, the sore throat remedy Strepsils, and the skincare brand Clearasil. BHI operated across international markets, providing self-care solutions in categories such as pain relief, dermatology, and cough and cold. In 2006, the business was acquired by Reckitt Benckiser for £1.926 billion, a move that established the acquirer as a major player in the global OTC market. Following the acquisition, BHI's brands were integrated into Reckitt's health division.
