Borrego Health

Borrego Health, officially the Borrego Community Health Foundation, was a large Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) providing comprehensive primary care services across Riverside and San Diego counties in California. The organization offered a broad spectrum of services including family medicine, pediatrics, dentistry, women's health, and behavioral health, specifically serving underserved and uninsured populations. Following a series of state and federal investigations into financial mismanagement and fraudulent dental billing practices, the foundation filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in late 2022. In 2023, its clinical operations and assets were acquired by DAP Health and InnerCare, resulting in the dissolution of Borrego Health as an independent entity.
