Boston Micro Fabrication (BMF), also known in corporate records as BMF Material Technology, is a private advanced-manufacturing company specializing in ultra-high-precision micro-scale 3D printing. The company’s core business is its proprietary Projection Micro Stereolithography (PµSL) platform, which is used to produce highly accurate parts for medical devices, life sciences, electronics, optics, photonics, and other precision applications. While BMF is not a therapeutics developer, it has meaningful healthcare exposure through dental and medtech applications, most notably its UltraThineer cosmetic dental veneer offering and related zirconia-based manufacturing workflow. BMF sells 3D-printing systems, materials, prototyping and production services, and increasingly supports commercial healthcare use cases through specialized labs and application development. Founded in 2016 as an MIT spinout, the company operates internationally with offices in the United States, China, and Japan.
