Bovogen Biologicals is an Australian biotechnology manufacturing company focused on animal-derived biological ingredients and related bioprocessing services for the life sciences sector. The company manufactures and supplies specialty animal serums, purified animal proteins, enzymes, and related products used in pharmaceutical, vaccine, diagnostics, veterinary, biotechnology, research, and nutritional applications. Its core portfolio includes bovine serum albumin and other purified bovine proteins, supported by sterile filtration, lyophilisation, and OEM/contract bioprocess manufacturing capabilities. Founded in 2001 in Melbourne, the company scaled commercial BSA manufacturing in 2003, expanded into sterile-filtered serum manufacturing in 2009, and was acquired by ANZCO Foods in late 2016 as part of ANZCO’s vertically integrated healthcare strategy. Bovogen operates with ISO-certified quality systems, EDQM certification for selected products, and GMP-aligned manufacturing processes.
