Company intelligence / Profile preview
Bradley Pharmaceuticals was a specialty pharmaceutical company headquartered in Fairfield, New Jersey, that focused on niche therapeutic markets including dermatology, podiatry, and respiratory health. Founded in 1985, the company grew through a strategy of acquiring and optimizing under-promoted brands, operating through its Doak Dermatologics and Kenwood Therapeutics divisions. Its portfolio featured notable products such as Solaraze for actinic keratosis and Veregen, which made history as the first botanical drug approved by the FDA. The company was publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol BDY until its acquisition in 2008. Nycomed purchased the company for approximately $346 million to expand its presence in the U.S. market, and the assets eventually became part of Takeda following subsequent mergers.
