Brighter was a Swedish health technology company specializing in the development of solutions for chronic disease management, with a primary focus on diabetes. The company's core offering, Actiste, was a "Diabetes Management as a Service" platform that combined a blood glucose meter, lancet, and insulin injection device into a single connected unit. This system automatically captured and transmitted treatment data to healthcare providers and caregivers through integrated cellular connectivity. The platform aimed to improve patient adherence and provide data-driven insights for better clinical decision-making. In addition to diabetes care, the company explored remote monitoring for the elderly through its subsidiary, Nectarine Health. Brighter AB ultimately filed for bankruptcy in early 2023 after failing to secure necessary long-term financing.
