Bronx AIDS Services

Bronx AIDS Services (BAS) was a prominent community-based non-profit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive support and prevention services for individuals living with or at risk of HIV/AIDS in the Bronx, New York. Founded in 1986, the organization offered a wide range of services including HIV testing, case management, housing assistance, legal services, and mental health support. In 2013, Bronx AIDS Services merged with St. Mary's Center to form BOOM!Health, aiming to integrate prevention and wellness services. The organization played a critical role in addressing the HIV epidemic in one of the hardest-hit boroughs of New York City through community outreach and advocacy.
