Broome Regional Aboriginal Medical Service

Broome Regional Aboriginal Medical Service is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service based in Broome, Western Australia, providing culturally responsive primary healthcare and wellbeing services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. The organization offers general practice, chronic disease and diabetes care, child and maternal health, mental health and social and emotional wellbeing services, allied health, visiting specialists, medication support, aged care, disability and NDIS services, and family and domestic violence support. BRAMS was established in 1978 and describes itself as the first remote Aboriginal Medical Service in Western Australia. Rather than a drug-development biotech or pharma company, it operates as a community-governed healthcare delivery organization with a broad service portfolio and active community health programs.
