The Budget Group (TBG) was a specialized clinical trial consultancy and service provider that focused on investigator grant budgeting and site contracting for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors. The company was widely recognized for its data-driven approach to establishing Fair Market Value (FMV) for clinical procedures, helping sponsors and Contract Research Organizations (CROs) streamline the financial aspects of trial initiation. By providing expert negotiation services and benchmarking tools, TBG aimed to reduce the time and complexity associated with site activation. In October 2013, the company was acquired by DrugDev to bolster its clinical trial optimization platform, and its capabilities were later integrated into IQVIA following DrugDev's acquisition in 2017.
