Bullet Biotechnology was a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on developing personalized therapeutic vaccines for B-cell malignancies, specifically Multiple Myeloma. The company utilized a proprietary "Bullet" vaccine platform, licensed from Stanford University, designed to produce recombinant idiotype vaccines more efficiently than traditional methods. Their lead candidate targeted the unique B-cell receptor (idiotype) on malignant cells to trigger a patient-specific immune response. Founded in 2012 and backed by prominent venture capital firms like Domain Associates and NEA, the company aimed to address the high unmet need in hematologic cancers. The technology was based on the pioneering work of Dr. Ronald Levy and Dr. Sanjiv Sam Gambhir at Stanford. Despite early clinical progress, the company is no longer active, and its development programs have ceased.
