Company intelligence / Profile preview
Burnham Securities was a New York-based investment banking and brokerage firm that specialized in providing financial services to middle-market companies. Founded in 1988 by Jon Burnham, the firm offered expertise in corporate finance, capital markets, and investment advisory services. Although the company acted as an underwriter and advisor for various healthcare and life sciences firms, it was not a biotechnology or pharmaceutical company itself. The firm was a subsidiary of Burnham Financial Group, which faced significant legal challenges and eventually filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2016. These legal issues were primarily linked to a fraudulent tribal bond scheme involving several of the firm's associates. Consequently, Burnham Securities is no longer an active entity in the financial or healthcare sectors.
