Business Executives for National Security

Business Executives for National Security (BENS) is a non-partisan, non-profit organization that harnesses the expertise of senior business leaders to help solve the United States' most complex national security challenges. Founded in 1982, the organization serves as a bridge between the private sector and government agencies, including the Department of Defense and the Department of Homeland Security. BENS members apply commercial best practices to improve government efficiency in areas such as cybersecurity, supply chain resilience, and biosecurity. Although the organization may provide advisory services related to pandemic preparedness and health security, it is not a biotechnology or pharmaceutical company and does not maintain a drug development pipeline. BENS operates through a network of regional offices, providing pro bono strategic advice to government leadership.
