Overview
C2i Genomics developed the first comprehensive whole-genome minimal residual disease (MRD) blood test for early detection and real-time monitoring of cancer recurrence and progression. Their flagship product, the C2inform MRD test, uses AI-driven analysis of whole-genome sequencing from small blood samples to achieve highly sensitive detection—claimed to be up to 100x more sensitive than competitors. The technology received CE-IVD certification for commercial use in the EU/UK. In February 2024, C2i was acquired by Veracyte, which plans to launch its first application as a muscle-invasive bladder cancer MRD diagnostic while expanding into additional oncology indications.
