C3 Jian (legally C3 Souvenir Holdings) was a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on developing targeted antimicrobial agents (STAMPs) to treat microbiome-related diseases. Their lead candidate, C16G2, was a synthetic peptide targeting Streptococcus mutans for the prevention of dental caries. The company was founded based on technology from UCLA and later merged with AmpliPhi Biosciences in 2019 to form Armata Pharmaceuticals, shifting focus toward bacteriophage therapeutics. This merger combined C3 Jian's synthetic peptide expertise with AmpliPhi's phage platform to address the global threat of antibiotic-resistant infections.
