Company intelligence / Profile preview
CABG Medical was a medical device company dedicated to the development of the Holly Graft, a synthetic coronary artery bypass graft. The company was founded by renowned medical device entrepreneur Manny Villafaña and went public on the NASDAQ in 2004. The Holly Graft was designed to eliminate the need for harvesting a patient's own vessels during bypass surgery, potentially reducing surgical time and complications. However, following disappointing results in clinical trials where the grafts failed to remain open, the company halted its research and development efforts. CABG Medical subsequently ceased operations and began the liquidation process in late 2006.
