Company intelligence / Profile preview
Cadbury Schweppes was a prominent British multinational company specializing in confectionery and beverages, formed in 1969 through the merger of Cadbury and Schweppes. The company held a significant global market share in chocolate, candy, and soft drinks, owning iconic brands such as Dairy Milk, Dr Pepper, and 7 Up. In 2008, the company underwent a major demerger, spinning off its North American beverage business into the Dr Pepper Snapple Group. The remaining confectionery business, Cadbury, was acquired by Kraft Foods in 2010 for approximately $19 billion. Today, the Cadbury brand is managed by Mondelēz International, while the Schweppes brand is owned by various entities globally, including Keurig Dr Pepper and Coca-Cola.
