Cala Health has developed the first non-invasive prescription wearable neuromodulation therapy—Cala kIQ—for essential tremor and action hand tremors associated with Parkinson’s disease. Clinical studies have demonstrated significant reduction of hand tremors and improved quality of life. The company has completed large-scale randomized controlled trials such as PROSPECT and ET‑03. The device received FDA clearance/de novo authorization for ET relief, Breakthrough Device Designation for PD-related action hand tremors, and Medicare coverage as a second-line treatment after medication failure or intolerance. New therapies are under development across neurology, cardiology, psychiatry.
