California Permanente Medical Group

The Permanente Medical Group (TPMG) and Southern California Permanente Medical Group (SCPMG) are the physician-led, for-profit entities that provide medical care to Kaiser Permanente members in California. As part of the Kaiser Permanente integrated healthcare consortium, these groups represent one of the largest physician-led organizations in the United States, with over 20,000 physicians across Northern and Southern California. They operate in partnership with the non-profit Kaiser Foundation Health Plan and Kaiser Foundation Hospitals to deliver comprehensive, evidence-based care. The groups are also heavily involved in clinical research and population health studies, leveraging their extensive electronic health record system to improve patient outcomes and advance medical knowledge.
