Calla Health Foundation develops low-cost, portable medical devices and digital platforms to improve access to cervical cancer screening, diagnosis, and treatment—especially in low-resource settings. Their technologies include the Pocket Colposcope/Callascope for self-screening or provider use without a speculum, an injectable polymer-based ablation therapy that does not require electricity/batteries, integrated mHealth software for image capture/storage/AI diagnostics, and an AI system for risk assessment on par with expert physicians. The foundation’s approach empowers midwives/community peers to deliver care where traditional infrastructure is lacking.
