Company intelligence / Profile preview
CalRHIO, the California Regional Health Information Organization, was a non-profit entity established to develop and implement a statewide health information exchange (HIE) infrastructure in California. The organization focused on enabling the secure, electronic movement of clinical data among disparate healthcare information systems to improve patient safety and care coordination. It played a significant role in early efforts to standardize health data interoperability and governance within the state. CalRHIO worked with various stakeholders, including hospitals, health plans, and government agencies, to create a sustainable model for data sharing. In 2010, CalRHIO merged with the California Health Information Exchange (CalHIE) to form the California eHealth Collaborative (CaEHC).
