CALSTAR (California Shock Trauma Air Rescue) is a leading regional air medical services provider serving California and northern Nevada. Founded in 1983 as a nonprofit consortium, the company provides rapid emergency air transport and critical care services for victims of trauma and life-threatening illnesses. CALSTAR operates a fleet of medically equipped helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft staffed by highly trained flight nurses and pilots. In 2016, the company was acquired by REACH Air Medical Services and is now part of the Global Medical Response (GMR) family, continuing its mission to provide high-quality pre-hospital and inter-facility medical transport.
