Cambridge Endoscopic Devices, commonly known as Cambridge Endo, was a medical technology firm focused on the design and manufacture of advanced laparoscopic surgical tools. The company's core product line, the Autonomy Laparo-Angle, featured hand-held articulating instruments that provided surgeons with seven degrees of freedom, significantly enhancing dexterity during minimally invasive procedures. By offering robotic-like maneuverability in a disposable, ergonomic format, the technology aimed to improve surgical precision while reducing costs compared to large-scale robotic systems. In 2011, the company was acquired by Hologic for its GYN surgical division.
