The company's business model involved the acquisition, development, and commercialization of niche pharmaceutical products. Its flagship product, Xenazine (tetrabenazine), became a standard of care for treating chorea associated with Huntington's disease and was licensed to major partners for global distribution. In February 2010, Cambridge Laboratories was acquired by Alliance Pharma in a deal valued at approximately £65 million.
