Camras Vision

Camras Vision was a private ophthalmic medical device company in North Carolina focused on glaucoma treatment. The company developed an implantable external aqueous shunt designed to provide more precise and titratable control of intraocular pressure than conventional glaucoma surgeries. Its lead product was the Camras Shunt, later referred to under the Alievio brand and associated product name Sollevio. The business raised grant and venture financing, including SBIR support and a Series A round, but later appears to have ceased operations and is listed by startup databases as closed. The company was rebranded as Alievio in 2019 rather than acquired by a larger company.
