Camtronics Medical Systems

Camtronics Medical Systems was a prominent developer of cardiovascular information systems (CVIS) and hemodynamic monitoring technology. The company's primary offering, the VERICIS platform, enabled healthcare providers to manage, archive, and view cardiac images and patient data across hospital networks. Founded in 1982 and based in Hartland, Wisconsin, Camtronics became a leader in digitizing the cardiac catheterization lab workflow. In 2005, the company was acquired by Emageon for approximately $40 million. Through a series of subsequent acquisitions, its technology was integrated into Merge Healthcare and eventually IBM Watson Health's imaging suite, which is now part of Merative.
