Canadian Emergency Ventilators

Canadian Emergency Ventilators was a Canadian medical device company formed in 2020 as the manufacturer of record for the Winnipeg Ventilator 2.0, an emergency ICU ventilator developed during the COVID-19 pandemic. The effort was led operationally by StarFish Medical with support from a broad Canadian consortium including Cerebra Health, manufacturing partners, and government-backed rapid-response programs. Its principal product was a redesigned and re-certified ventilator based on prior Winnipeg Ventilator technology originally developed by Dr. Magdy Younes and adapted for rapid domestic manufacturing. The company appears to have been created for a pandemic-specific procurement and production program rather than as a broad standalone medtech operating business. Corporate records indicate it later entered voluntary dissolution, so it does not appear to be an active operating company today.
