Canadian Molecular Imaging Probe Consortium

The Canadian Molecular Imaging Probe Consortium (CMIPC) was a federally funded Centre of Excellence for Commercialization and Research (CECR) established to accelerate the development and clinical translation of molecular imaging probes. The consortium focused on creating a robust pipeline of radiopharmaceuticals for Positron Emission Tomography (PET) and Single-Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT) imaging. By bridging the gap between academic discovery and industrial production, CMIPC provided the necessary infrastructure for chemistry, regulatory compliance, and clinical trial management. It worked in close partnership with the Centre for Probe Development and Commercialization (CPDC) to bring diagnostic and therapeutic agents to the healthcare market.
