Canadian Swine Research and Development Cluster

The Canadian Swine Research and Development Cluster (CSRDC) is a national research organization dedicated to driving innovation within the Canadian pork industry. Managed by Swine Innovation Porc (SIP), the cluster facilitates collaborative research between industry, academia, and government to address key challenges such as animal health, welfare, and environmental sustainability. Its primary objectives include reducing antimicrobial use, improving swine nutrition, and enhancing meat quality through advanced genomic and management tools. Funded largely through the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership, CSRDC plays a pivotal role in maintaining the global competitiveness of Canada's swine sector.
