Cancer Research Ventures

Cancer Research Ventures (CRV) was the technology transfer and commercialization arm of the Cancer Research Campaign (CRC) in the United Kingdom. In 2002, following the merger of the CRC and the Imperial Cancer Research Fund to form Cancer Research UK, CRV was combined with the Imperial Cancer Research Fund's technology transfer unit to create Cancer Research Technology (CRT). The organization functions as a specialist oncology drug discovery and commercialization company, bridging the gap between academic research and the pharmaceutical industry. It manages a vast portfolio of intellectual property, including patents for blockbuster drugs such as temozolomide and abiraterone acetate. CRT continues to operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Cancer Research UK, focusing on licensing, spin-outs, and collaborative drug discovery programs.
