Cannabis Strategies Acquisition

Cannabis Strategies Acquisition Corp. was a cannabis-focused special purpose acquisition corporation formed in Canada to acquire one or more businesses in the marijuana production, distribution, and related sectors. The company completed its initial public offering in December 2017 and was sponsored by Mercer Park CB, L.P. In May 2019, it completed its qualifying transaction, acquired a portfolio of U.S. cannabis assets, and changed its name to Ayr Strategies Inc., later Ayr Wellness Inc. As a standalone entity under the name Cannabis Strategies Acquisition, it no longer operates independently; the name is primarily relevant as the predecessor SPAC to Ayr.
