Headquartered in Bogota, Colombia, the company was established to manage the production, distribution, and research of medical cannabis products in markets including Colombia, Chile, Brazil, and Peru. The entity operated primarily through the Spectrum Therapeutics brand, focusing on providing standardized cannabinoid-based medicines to patients and healthcare providers. However, following a global strategic restructuring by its parent company that began in 2020, Canopy Growth transitioned to an asset-light model in the region. This shift led to the closure of its Colombian cultivation facilities and the eventual divestment of its Latin American business interests.
