Associates of Cape Cod (ACC) is a global leader in the manufacture of Limulus Amebocyte Lysate (LAL) products and specialized services for the detection of bacterial endotoxins and (1→3)-β-D-glucans. Founded in 1974 by Dr. Stanley Watson, the company was the first to receive an FDA license for LAL production, a critical component in ensuring the safety of parenteral drugs and medical devices. ACC provides a comprehensive suite of reagents, instrumentation, and software, including the innovative recombinant Factor C (rFC) assay, PyroSmart NextGen. The company also operates a GLP and GMP-compliant Contract Test Service (CTS) laboratory to support pharmaceutical quality control. ACC is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Seikagaku Corporation and is headquartered in East Falmouth, Massachusetts.
