CAQH CORE (Committee on Operating Rules for Information Exchange) is a non-profit, multi-stakeholder collaboration of more than 120 organizations across the healthcare industry. Designated by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) as the author for federal operating rules, it works to streamline healthcare administration. The organization develops and implements operating rules that improve the efficiency, accuracy, and interoperability of electronic data exchange between providers and health plans. Its mission is to reduce administrative burden and costs while improving the patient and provider experience. CAQH CORE also provides a certification program to ensure that organizations are compliant with these operating rules. Through its collaborative model, it brings together health plans, providers, and vendors to drive industry-wide consensus on administrative standards.
