Company intelligence / Profile preview
Carbylan’s lead program was Hydros‑TA—a proprietary intra-articular injectable combining hyaluronic acid and triamcinolone acetonide—developed for pain associated with osteoarthritis of the knee. The company completed a pivotal Phase 3 trial (COR1.1) but suspended further clinical development in April 2016 following disappointing results.[9][6] Subsequently, Carbylan merged with KalVista Pharmaceuticals in late 2016 and ceased independent operations.[1][10]
