Cardiawave has developed a proprietary non-invasive ultrasound therapy device for the treatment of calcific aortic stenosis. The technology aims to soften the calcified aortic valve leaflets without surgery, offering an alternative or adjunct to current surgical and transcatheter approaches. First-in-human feasibility and safety studies have been conducted in France, the Netherlands, and Serbia with positive initial results published up to six months follow-up. The device remains investigational.
