CardioBionic has developed patented prototypes of a bi‐ventricular assist heart pump designed to be more affordable, compact, and suitable for a wider range of patients than current market options. Prototypes are undergoing animal testing in Australia; human clinical trials are targeted to begin by December 2024 in India and Australia. The technology aims to address limitations of existing left ventricular assist devices by supporting both sides of the heart with one system at lower cost. No published human trial results yet.
