CardioProlific was a privately-held medical technology company based in Hayward, California, that specialized in developing catheter-based thrombectomy systems for treating peripheral vascular disease (PVD). Founded in 2010, the company's core technology utilized patented ultrasound to modify media/intima calcium compliance, which facilitated the penetration of therapeutic drugs into the vessel wall and addressed re-stenosis in patients with Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD). This innovative, non-implant approach aimed to provide clinicians with more effective tools for the treatment of complex vascular conditions. In June 2017, CardioProlific was acquired by Royal Philips to enhance its image-guided therapy portfolio and complement its existing interventional device offerings.
