Company intelligence / Profile preview
Cardiosonix was an Israeli medical technology company focused on the development of non-invasive hemodynamic monitoring systems. The company's flagship product, the Quantium CP, utilized proprietary ultrasound Doppler technology to measure cardiac output and other blood flow parameters without the need for invasive catheters. This technology aimed to improve patient outcomes in intensive care units and operating rooms by providing real-time data for fluid management. In 2004, Cardiosonix was acquired by Deltex Medical, a leader in esophageal Doppler monitoring, to complement its existing product line. The acquisition allowed for the integration of non-invasive monitoring capabilities into Deltex's clinical offerings.
