CardioTech International was a medical device and biomaterials company specializing in the development and manufacture of advanced polyurethane materials for healthcare applications. The company's flagship technology, ChronoFlex, is a family of biodurable, polycarbonate-based thermoplastic polyurethanes used in long-term implantable devices such as chronic catheters and vascular grafts. Beyond materials, the company developed proprietary medical devices and provided contract manufacturing services. In 2008, the company rebranded as AdvanSource Biomaterials to focus on its core polymer business, and the successor entity was eventually acquired by Mitsubishi Chemical in 2020.
