CardioVax was a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on developing innovative immunotherapies for cardiovascular diseases, particularly atherosclerosis. The company's core technology centered on a peptide-based vaccine platform designed to modulate the immune system's response to oxidized low-density lipoprotein (LDL). Its lead candidate, CVX-210, was a vaccine targeting specific sequences of Apolipoprotein B-100 (ApoB-100) to inhibit the progression of arterial plaques.
