Caritas Kotido

Caritas Kotido, officially known as the Kotido Diocese Development Office (KADDO), is a non-profit healthcare and development organization serving the Karamoja sub-region of Northeastern Uganda. As the social services arm of the Catholic Diocese of Kotido, it operates several health facilities and community-based health programs focused on maternal and child health, nutrition, and infectious disease control. The organization plays a critical role in the regional health system by providing HIV/AIDS services, tuberculosis treatment, and emergency nutritional support. Caritas Kotido works in partnership with international donors such as USAID and the World Food Programme to improve health outcomes and food security for pastoralist communities. Its activities are integrated into the broader mission of Caritas Internationalis to promote human dignity and social justice.
