Caron Scientific is a private U.S. manufacturer of controlled-environment laboratory equipment used across drug development, biomanufacturing, cell and gene therapy workflows, and academic research. The company designs and sells environmental test chambers, stability and photostability chambers, growth chambers, CO2 incubators, baths/circulators, biosafety and protection cabinets, and automation enclosures. Rather than developing therapeutics, Caron supplies enabling hardware for research, QA/QC, cleanroom incubation, and regulated manufacturing environments. Founded in 1985 in Marietta, Ohio, the company has expanded through private-equity backing and the 2021 acquisition of UK-based Bigneat. In 2024, it unified its branding around the Caron Scientific name and launched a new corporate website.
