Carousel Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on developing transformative therapies for autoimmune diseases using T-cell engaging technologies. Founded through a strategic collaboration between Cullinan Therapeutics and world-renowned pioneers in immunotherapy, including Dr. Carl June and Dr. Michael Milone from the University of Pennsylvania, the company leverages deep expertise in B-cell depletion. Its lead asset, CLN-978, is a highly potent, off-the-shelf CD19 x CD3 bispecific T-cell engager designed to deplete B cells more efficiently than existing modalities. While initially investigated for B-cell malignancies, the program is now being prioritized for the treatment of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE). In April 2024, the company was fully acquired by Cullinan Therapeutics to serve as the foundation for its expansion into the immunology and inflammation space.
