CAScination is a Swiss medical technology company that develops and commercializes computer-assisted surgery and image-guided navigation systems. The company's flagship product, CAS-One IR, provides stereotactic navigation for minimally invasive tumor ablation, particularly in the liver, lung, and kidney. By integrating 3D planning and real-time needle guidance, CAScination's solutions aim to improve the precision and success rates of interventional oncology procedures. Founded as a spin-off from the University of Bern, the company also developed the HEARO robotic system for cochlear implantation in partnership with MED-EL. In 2023, CAScination was acquired by Terumo Corporation to strengthen its interventional oncology portfolio.
