Casillo Group is an Italian private industrial group founded in 1958 that leads globally in the processing and distribution of durum wheat and ranks among Europe's largest soft wheat millers. Its core business spans agricultural commodities trading on a global scale; production of flours for pasta makers/bakeries/F&B clients/B2C channels; cereal storage/logistics; renewable energy initiatives using agri-byproducts ("circular economy"); real estate projects tied to its industrial base; and more recently food tech innovation through subsidiaries like "Casillo Next Gen Food" which extracts high-value ingredients from milling by-products such as germ fractions rich in protein/fiber/vitamins. The group operates at least 14 mills across Italy with significant investments into modernization, but it does not develop pharmaceuticals or biotech products nor conduct clinical research—its activities are strictly within the food/agriculture sector rather than life science/biotech/pharma/healthcare fields.
